National Resistance Movement (NRM) self-proclaimed general Miguna Miguna jetted back into the country on Monday afternoon after spending weeks in Canada where he had been deported to.
It was however, shocking that no leader from the top opposition organs was spotted at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) where the plane flying the veteran politician touched ground.
Being that Miguna Miguna is a staunch opposition leader, Kenyans expected if not all then a few of the opposition leaders either Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula or Kalonzo Musyoka to be present at the airport to receive their fellow.
Miguna Miguna who was deported to Canada by the government in February after he was involved in the swearing in of Raila Odinga also opposed the Uhuru-Raila handshake that has since created an unfavorable environment in the NASA coalition bringing to sight possible split among the parties making up the coalition.
While Miguna was away, he shared series of interviews he had with TV and Radio stations in Canada, US and Europe speaking of how he would 'liberate' Kenyans from 'illegitimate rule' as he has always put it.
It is still not known how he will be able to settle the pledges of ousting President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto from power after his key source of support and power Raila Odinga shook hands with president Uhuru Kenyatta, a move that he termed as 'betrayal'.
