With the Garissa Township legislative seat attracting both young and seasoned politicians, Hassan Abdille has become the latest aspirant to express interest in Duale's most treasured post.
Despite being a new entrant in the constituency's political political arena, Abdille says he is optimistic that he will outdo all the experienced politicians come 2017 elections.
The most interesting thing about the fresh parliamentary aspirant is his ambitious pledges that he has already submitted to the electorate for consideration.
Abdille disclosed that his major concern upon ascending to the prestigious office is housing for the less privileged members of his constituency.
He has pledged to make personal sacrifice and dedicate up to 40 percent of his salary to put up housing for hundreds of families by the end his first term.
Residents who will benefit from this 'project' should at least own their own land parcels. The aspirant also disclosed that his very first salary would help build a descent house for mama Fathomo Buran of Bulla Sagara in the first month, after which mama Ramla Ahmed of Bulla area will follow.
Abdille's entry to Garissa Township political space makes the number of aspirants to battle the incumbent Duale six. Others who have also eyed the seat are Farah Maalim, Siyat Osman, Captain Abdiyare Mohamud among others.
