The Hassan Joho Foundation in partnership with youth from the Old Town ward organised an open Sea swimming competition and a football tournament, Sunday,
The event aimed to engage the youth from the area in creative and sporting activities.
"Our gratitude goes out to the youth who turned out in large numbers to participate in the events and the community for supporting the events in one way or the other," said Governor Ali Joho.
The event, was led by Deputy governor William Kingi, and Mvita MP Abdulswamad Nassir, who later issued certificates to the winners.
"We will continue to work closely with the youth in all parts of Mombasa to nurture sporting talents as well as encouraging positive friendships and constructive engagements," he added.
