Joho was declared the winner of the August 8 contest after garnering over 219,000 votes against Omar who came distant third with just over 44,000 votes.

But according to Omar who is banking on the full Supreme Court ruling, the Court will invalidate Joho's win and call a mini-general election. Omar claims that the Mombasa governor election was not done in accordance with the law even as he alleges ballot stuffing in favor of John.

"With the SC full ruling prepare for a mini general election. Interns will win petitions against senior lawyers. Good bar set," Omar said in a tweet on his twitter handle.

Omar has since decamped from Wiper Party which he used as his political vehicle during last month's contest even as he blamed his former party boss Kalonzo Musyoka of 'betrayal'.
