[Photo| @NationBreaking]Former Mombasa senator Hassan Omar has applied to withdraw from his petition challenging Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho's victory in the August 8 general election.Omar in his withdrawal petition said he no longer had confidence on the neutrality of the presiding judge hearing the case. "It will be hypocritical for the petitioners to proceed with this matter when they believe that the honourable court is already biased against them," Omar's petition read in part. The ex-senator had earlier filed a petition seeking the withdrawal of Judge Lydia Achode from hearing the petition.Omar vied for the gubernatorial seat on a Wiper party ticket but has since defected to Jubilee after he was defeated by Joho who vied on an ODM party ticket.
