Speaking on Tuesday, town residents singled out the heavy commercial vehicles and handcarts as the biggest contributors of the frequent traffic witnessed in the town.

Arthur Mukabane, a banker who commutes by his car said,

"Sometimes we have to keep going slow when passing through the town because of those jams caused by trucks and handcarts."

He, however, commended the county for restricting bodaboda operators in the Central Business District.

"The trucks destruct our way when they keep turning and parking along the roads," said a pedestrian.

The residents urged the county government to act quickly especially during this rainy season.
