Borabu MP Ben Momanyi has urged the police to launch investigations into the fire that gutted a dormitory at Eronge Boarding Primary School on Sunday evening.
According to Momanyi, this is not the first time there has been a fire incident at the school noting that it's time for the causes to be established to avert future cases.
Addressing the media on Monday when he toured the institution, the MP further called on area police officers to hasten the investigations into the incident in which many pupils lost their property.
“We can’t continue having fire incidents in our schools. This is not the first time Eronge Primary is experiencing a fire, let us know the cause and look for the solution once and for all,” said Momanyi
“I am urging the police officers to investigate the matter thoroughly and issue a report within two weeks,” he added.
The MP donated mattresses to the affected pupils.
