Kisii county Governor James Ongwae has been urged to hasten the release of bursary fund as schools reopen for the 1st term of the year to help those who applied for the money.

According to Bokimonge MCA George Bibao, the funds should reach various schools as they reopen to help students who applied for the funds to study.

Bibao was speaking on Monday in his ward and urged Ongwae to hasten the release of funds to provide help to students in education

“The schools reopens on 4th January I am calling the county government of Kisii to hasten the release of bursary funds to schools so that children do not experience a hard time in their education,” said Bibao.

Bibao urged education stakeholders to collaborate on improving education standards in the county

“Let all of us work together in improving education this county as we move ahead,” added Bibao.
