Hassan warned that such acts might lead to ethnic violence that was witnessed in the county after the 2007 general elections. He warned that anyone found would face the full force of the law.“I have received information from the public that there are some people who are spreading hate and incitive messages on social media, I want to warn such individual to either stop voluntarily or face the full force of the law,” Hassan said in Eldoret town, Saturday.“We will not allow such acts to happen since Uasin Gishu is volatile and anything that can trigger violence whatsoever will not be allowed. Everyone regardless of their tribal affiliations has the right to reside in this county,” he added.Hassan however assured residents of their security saying that everything is in order, therefore, no cause for alarm.“I want to assure residents that as we have deployed more security officers who will be carrying out regular patrols in Eldoret town and its environs to ensure that mwanachi’s life is safe,” he said.“Security is paramount and we will do what it takes to ensure anyone culpable for causing insecurity will face the law.
