A hate speech case against Gatundu MP Moses Kuria, that was set to be heard on Tuesday has been pushed to March 29.The case that was before Milimani chief magistrate Francis Andayi could not be heard because the magistrate was engaged in other officials duties.While reading the adjournment, senior principal magistrate Martha Mutuku directed that the case will still go on before chief magistrate Francis Andayi in March before proceeding to trial.Senior state counsel Solomon Naulikha, who leads the prosecution told the court that they are ready to lead the hearing after all compiling all evidence.Kuria is accused of using abusive words on September 5, 2017 that could cause physical injury at Wangige Market in Kiambu.Mr Kuria had also posted a message on his Facebook page that would have led to people who didn't vote for Uhuru Kenyatta being evicted from Kiambu."Kiambu has spoken. They have said Wembe ni ule ule (the razor blade is the same one). Wangige and Kiambu people are seething with anger. One million of their votes were cancelled by four people," the post Read.The MP had been arrested on September 11, 2017 and subsequently released on sh 300,000 cash bail and also ordered to sign a bond of sh 1m with a promise to conduct himself in good behaviour.
