IEBC is collaborating with the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) in a bid to lock out politicians found guilty of engaging in hate speech.
The electoral body's Chief Executive Officer Ezra Chiloba has stated that the commission will be relying on data obtained from NCIC to monitor politicians implicated in hate speech mongering.
In a statement sent to newsrooms on Thursday, Chiloba also revealed that IEBC was in talks with the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) to monitor the integrity of all aspirants.
Aspirants who will be found with integrity concerns risk being locked out of the elections.
"We are collaborating with the NCIC which deals with hate speech and EACC for integrity and their is a conversation over vetting of candidates," said Chioba.
Both Jubilee and Cord coalitions members have pending cases where they are accused of spreading hate speech with the aim inciting Kenyans.
