Politicians and individuals who incite communities against each other in the Rift Valley risk being arrested a senior security official has warned.

 Rift Valley regional coordinator Wanyama Musiambo sounded the warning saying any individual who will be found engaging in acts that could trigger ethnic animosity in the region will face the law.

He added that they have since launched investigations into the conduct of some local politicians whom he said could be having a role in the inter-clan flare ups witnessed in parts of Elgeyo Marakwet.

He at the same time also called upon individuals living in the chaos prone areas such as Baringo, Turkana, Samburu and Pokot counties and still in possession of illegal firearms to surrender them before they State comes for them.

Musiambo was speaking in his office in Nakuru town on Wednesday.
