The Member of Parliament for Yatta sub-county Francis Mwangangi has called upon full force of law to hate speech inciters despite political divide.
Speaking in his office in Matuu town on Tuesday Mwangangi "The government of Kenya should take a legal step on all the politicians or leaders speaking hate speech whether on the side of the ruling or the opposition government," said Mwangangi.
The Yatta Mp stated legal action was necessary following increased statements that disturb the peace of Kenya.
"Any leaders who are found guilty of inciting or hate speech should not run for any political seat during the coming 2017 election," said Mwangangi.
This follows a wave of hate speech that has so far led to several Members of parliament and politicians arrested.
Among those arrested are: the senator of Machakos County Johnstone Muthama, Suna Member of Parliament Junet Mohammed, Ferdinard Waititu of Kabete North Kimani Ngunjiri, Moses Kuria of Gatundu South and Aisha Jumwa who is Kilifi Women Representative among others.
