Embu County Women Representative Jane Wanjiku Njiru said Uhuru should not allow government officials to taint his name through the dubious dealings and theft of public funds.

“Your excellency let not anyone tarnish the name of the Jubilee government under your able leadership. Have a holy anger and tame officials in government only interested in embezzling public funds meant for development,” said the MP.

She reiterated that the latest NYS scam suspects who are in police custody should remain behind bars until the corruption cases before the court is heard and determined.

“Some individuals are using NYS to loot public funds to enrich themselves and their families. Such people should be sent to jail to serve as an example to other civil servants who have intentions to loot public resources,” she noted.

She regretted that corruption will derail President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto’s efforts to implement the 4 big agendas to transform the lives of Kenyans in deep villages.

Njiru was speaking on Saturday in Siakago, Embu County during the burial ceremony of Virginia Njoka, mother to the National Assembly Speaker Justine Muturi.
