Former prime minister Raila Odinga seems to be on his own even as he charts the way forward following his loss to President Uhuru Kenyatta for the presidency which he has since rejected.

In his maiden address to his supporters on Sunday in Kibera and Mathare after the Friday's blow, Odinga was only accompanied by a handful of his ODM party loyalists among them Siaya Senator elect James Orengo,Kibra MP elect Ken Okoth,Embakassi East MP elect Babu Owino and Homa Bay county MP elect Gladys Wanga.

The whereabouts of his other principals in the National Super Alliance that is home to four other parties remained scanty begging the question, "Have they abandoned their captain"?.

Inconspicuously absent was Raila's running mate Kalonzo Musyoka, Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi, Bungoma Senator elect Moses Wetangula and Chama cha Mashinani (CMM) party leader Isaac Ruto.

According to political analyst Gabriel Muthuma, the other four leaders have since moved on leaving Raila to deal with his loss alone.

" The whole standoff we are experiencing today is purely an ODM affair. The other Nasa principals have since moved on with their lives. Odinga should read the signs of time and move on as well," he told NTV.

His sentiments were echoed by former Gichugu lawmaker Njogu Barua who averred that Odinga was on his own even as he continue to reject the outcome of the August 8 polls that saw president Kenyatta declared winner with 54 per cent of the votes to his 44 per cent.

The former prime minister is expected to announce his next course of action on Tuesday after ruling out going to court to challenge the electoral outcome.
