A storm is brewing in the NASA alliance on who between ODM’s Esther Passaris and Wiper’s Ndambuki should battle Rachael Shebesh for Nairobi women rep seat.
This comes after the issue escalated during a gathering on Saturday at Kilimani Primary School, with leaders allied to both women urging the other group to step down.
The meeting, which was meant to solidify the gender agenda in Nairobi was also attended by Raila Odinga’s wife, Ida Odinga.
Calls to have Passaris or Ndambuki to step aside were met with claims that ODM had already been awarded the Governor’s slot.
Orgniased by Odinga and Kidero, the meeting was also used to urge the two women to urge women candidates to work out ways to present single candidates, in order to ensure they make it to parliament.
This will prove a headache for Nasa in the capital politics, with the alliance aiming to clinch all top seats in Nairobi.
The NASA alliance has allowed both Ndambuki and Passariss to flag the opposition flags in Nairobi, with each insisting to be first among equals.
