Coalition for Reforms and Democracy  (Cord) Leader Raila Amolo Odinga faces an uphill task to control his support base in Kilifi after Women Representative Aisha Jumwa  threatened that she will rally the electorate behind Jubilee point Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung'aro instead of NASA-hard  Amason Kingi in the forthcoming general polls.

Jumwa has said that she will pitch tents in different parts of the county until Kingi leaves his post, a move which is likely to jeopardize the opposition leader’s quest to rise to power in the forthcoming general elections.

The woman rep argues that she is not impressed with the decision of Kingi to support Malindi MP Willy Mtengo despite defeating him in one of the most watched contests.

"Governor Kingi openly favored Mtengo in the Malindi constituency ODM primaries and other areas which was wrong. Although I am an ODM party candidate, I have now decided to do everything possible to support Mung'aro for the Governor seat. Enough is enough. We want to see him out,” said Jumwa, as quoted by People Daily.

If Jumwa keeps her word, then ODM is likely to lose votes to the ruling party in the upcoming general polls.
