This is after attempts by the school management to eject the individuals from the houses hit a snag.

According to Uasin Gishu Primary School headteacher Esther Wanjiru, the tenants have been served with several eviction notices but they have declined.

She said the County Education Board resolved that the houses be occupied by the school's staff, but the tenants were yet to move.

She lamented that continued occupation of the houses by the tenants had constantly exposed the school to frequent theft cases.

"The school has been vandalised several times where we have lost property worth Sh700,000,'' she said.

Addressing the press at Uasin Gishu primary school, she also called on the Ministry of Education and the National Land Commission to help the school repossess land that had been grabbed by public investors.

"We are also seeking to repossess over 4 acres of land grabbed and already developed by private individuals in the school compound," noted Wanjiru.
