Schools expecting to have a surge of Form 1 admissions have made a passionate appeal to the government through the Ministry of Education headed by CS Matiang'i.
The Form One selection process kicked off on Monday.
Oliver Minishi, Kakamega High principal, said that the school can only admit 345 students but can be able to accommodate up to 1000 students if facilities were expanded.
''We don't have enough classes but that can be solved because we have enough space.to build more classes and dormitories.'' He said.
The school is among schools picked to admit more students.
Those schools have appealed to the Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i to facilitate the expansion of the school.
