It is now official that the Health Ministry is the most funded and modernized docket in Garissa county.
This emerged just days after the county the top position across the country for being the county with the best improved health care services and reduced maternal mortality.
According to Governor Nathif Jama, devolution has improved health care services in the county, and is government's commitment to availing quality care services made the county emerge the best across the country.
"Ministry of Health tops as the most funded and modernized ministries in the county. Our health services delivery meets innovation, with a robust referral system that has enabled other counties to be referred to Garissa County," disclosed the governor.
Jama further added that the county was privileged to be the first county to automate its heath systems electronically.
"As Garissa County government, we are indeed more committed to saving more lives, improving basic health care and reducing health related issues. We are realizing this by increasing more health care facilities, equipping them and making them fully operational in all our sub-counties," Jama added.
The governor expressed satisfaction that he had finally realized a promise he made in 2013 to face lift health services in the county.
