Uasin Gishu government has started training it's health managers on leadership and governance meant to improve service delivery.

CEC in charge of Health Services Evelyn Rotich said the training targets all health managers from the six sub-counties.

"Our main objective is to improve their managerial skills and also train them on disciplinary processes, budgeting and finances and also agree on ways of improving the performance of healthcare workers in service delivery," she said in Eldoret town, Thursday.

"Offering good services at our facilities is key to branding our County Health facilities. We want residents to get quality health service," he added.

She, however, urged service providers at the facility levels to observe time and be in office as per public service act.

"Always ensure you are to your place of work on time any cases of absenteeism and laxity will not be tolerated since you are employed to serve," noted Rotich.

The training was sponsored by Ampath in conjunction with the County Government of Uasin Gishu.
