Apart from its nutritive value such highly enriched with protein, carbohydrates, antioxidants fats minerals and vitamins, it's also associated with health risks it taken in excessive.

1. Causes heart disease.

Excessive consumption of pizza has a negative implications on the heart.

Regular consumption of pizza elevates the level of blood cholesterol and risks of heart diseases. Some pizzas such as those made of processed meat and pepperoni, are endowed with saturated fats, salts and nitrites that causes heart disease and cancer when eaten regularly.

2. Increase blood pressure levels

Pizzas are endowed with sodium salts. High amount of sodium have adverse effects on the body. They elevate the level of blood pressure. 

3. High glycemic index

The glycemic index is a value assigned to foods based on how slowly or how quickly those foods cause increases in blood glucose levels. 

High glycemic index causes increase in blood sugar. As mentioned earlier, pizzas are endowed with carbohydrates, the wheat flours, which have high glycemic index which in turn causes high blood sugar level.
