Nakuru County assembly is expected Wednesday afternoon to hold a heated debate report on appointees to the position of County Executive Committees (CeC).
The report was tabled on Wednesday morning by the Appointments Committee in Nakuru led by Speaker Maina Kairu.
According to the report tabled before the House, the committee has dropped four names for the positions of County executive who are Raymond Komen(Education), Halima Gababa(Youth and Culture), Lucy Wanjiku(Lands) and Joseph Kiuna(Finance). Joseph Kiuna was dropped after he reportedly was unable to discuss key matters of budget process.
Wanjiku lacked basic academic papers and professional qualifications in Lands and Housing docket. This even as the other six nominees were found qualified by the committee.
They include Peter Kitienya(Trade), Festus Kipkoech (Environment), Lawrence Mwangangi( Public Service), Joseph Irungu ( Infrastructure), Immaculate Njuthe ( Agriculture) and Manjari Mwangi CEC (Health).
