Farmers in Nyamusi, Mawawa and Gekonge are the most affected as farm products are rotting in homes, after it became impossible for them to transport their produce to the market.

“Nothing can reach the market at the moment. We are incurring losses here because buyers are unable to access this area at the moment,” John Makori, a resident said.

Emmah Nyaboke said she has incurred a loss of upto Sh50,000, after her managu and sukuma wiki were unable to reach the market.

At the Nyamusi-Mawawa road, vehicles were spotted stuck in the mad, forcing the motorists to abandon them and wade through the muddy roads.
