Residents of Bogango in Manga Nyamira County have decried impassable roads following heavy rains in the region.
Locals using Ting’a – Nyabioto – Ogango – Nyaikuro road on Monday accused a contractor working on the road for delaying to complete work in time.
“The lazy contractor who was given the tender has failed to remove the heap soil that is in the center of the road," said Milkah Mogeni.
According to Timothy Morira, motorists have avoided the route thus making it even difficult for locals to access services.
“Teachers going to school and traders get stuck in mud while in vehicles and on motorcycles. Things ain't working at all," he said.
He pleaded with Governor John Nyagarama to send engineers to remove heap of soil to clear way for motorists.
