Travelers along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway on Friday spend hours in traffic as the route experienced increased motorists headed for the Easter holiday.
The route saw increased vehicles as many city dwellers traveled to the upcountry to spend the Easter holiday with their loved ones.
"From Gilgil to Nakuru I have spent more than two hours and I usually spend utmost one hour. There is increased vehicles leading to traffic build up," George Kaniu, a matatu driver said.
Motorists were forced to drive slowly along the jam.
Many travelers were headed to Molo, Eldoret and Western Kenya.
"I have decided to go and enjoy this season with my wife and children. You know I will go back to work on Tuesday, it is a good time," Martin Oloo said.
