Speaking Thursday during the official commissioning of the project, the hospital’s proprietor Hezron Manduku said the new wing will not only increase the capacity but also pave way for construction of a new morgue.

He said the current morgue with a capacity of 15 beds will be relocated to the new building since its location is not strategic due to its location in the Kisii CBD.

“I am happy to announce the acquisition of the land and this will be a milestone because the process was long overdue. We will be able to increase the patient capacity in bid to improve our services to clients,” he said.

“The management has also agreed to relocate the morgue to the new building because it is centrally placed in town and hence becomes very difficult for our clients to get beset services due to traffic jams,” he added.

Manduku who also acted as MP for Nyaribari Masaba asked the county government to upgrade the hospital to level five since it has made all the necessary compliant issues.

“I call upon the county government to upgrade the hospital to Level Five however much it’s a private entity. We have fulfilled matters pertaining compliance and it will be justice if we are granted the honor,” he said.
