A herder will spend the rest of his life in jail for defiling an 8-year-old girl.
A Nakuru court on Friday handed Richard Bosuben the sentence when it found him guilty of committing the crime at Ingobor village on February 26 2016.
The prosecution said the accused waylaid the minor who was in company of her friend while to their grandmother's house from church and defiled her repeatedly.
The court further heard that the accused threatened to kill the minor if she revealed what had happened.
Bosuben pleaded with the court for a lenient punishment but the court declined saying he will be jailed for life to send a warning to other people with intentions to defile minors.
Bosuben has 14 days to make an appeal over the ruling.
