The herders allege that police are using unnecessary excessive force on them and want the issue addressed.

Maryan Ismael told NTV that at around 3 am in the morning, the police broke into their homes and ransacked their homes destroying their properties.

“They broke into our homes at around 3 am in the morning ransacking through our property before telling us to flee our homes,” said Maryan.

The operation took five hours, and according to the residents, this is the 6th time the officers are breaking into their homes using force during security operations.

The herders claim that the officers are unnecessarily aggressive towards them, something they want Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaiserry to address.
