When the Kenyan government nominated Foreign affairs CS Amina Mohammed for AU chair position, the Jubilee government offered Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka Foreign affairs CS job if he leaves Cord and joins the ruling party.
Kalonzo declined the offer saying that he would rather go home than become a "mere Foreign affairs CS". This is not the first time the Wiper leader is rejecting a job offer from the ruling party.
Last year April when a censure motion was tabled in parliament against National assembly speaker Justin Muturi, president Uhuru Kenyatta tried to woo Kalonzo to join Jubilee by offering him a job as the speaker of national assembly, an offer that Kalonzo blatantly refused.
In November 2012, Kalonzo was offered a job as the majority leader in parliament in a pre-election pact by the G7 in a bid to woo him to join them but Kalonzo refused and instead made a deal with Raila Odinga.
Those in the G7 were Uhuru Kenyatta, William Ruto, Charity Ngilu, Najib Balala and Eugene Wamalwa.
