Nakuru county is one of the 47 counties in the country. It neighbours Baringo, Narok, Uasin Gishu and Laikipia counties all found within the expansive Rift Valley region.
The county is virtually one of the 'must visit' places if you really want to explore your country owing to its beautiful landscapes, flora, fauna and historical sites.
Here are a few of them.
1 Lake Nakuru National Park.
Located barely 5km from Nakuru town, the beautiful park comprise both the lake, woody vegetation and countless mammals and birds.The park is also famed for its pink flamingoes which give the lake it's pinkish colours.You could also see four of the great five comprising the lion, the black and white rhinoceros, the leopard and the buffalo.
2 Menengai Crater.
This is a unique land formation defined by a sunken valley and surrounded by lush forest covers and farmlands. Its breathtaking formation compounded by an eerie silence is most likely to leave you asking yourself several personal questions as to why you've not married or gotten married.
3 Lord Egerton Castle.
Behind the rolling hills and shrubs of Njoro area stands an imposing castle that is reminiscent of what our ladies subject us to.The Lord Egerton castle, built by Lord Maurice Egerton is undoubtedly a must visit destination if you want to learn about women who can reject opulence.
