Everybody loves Nakuru but the love can decline upon experiencing her creepy side, especially at night.

Here are some of the most frightening places in Nakuru as soon as darkness takes over.

1. The stretch between the Nakuru footbridge and Nakuru Level 5 hospital

Sand-witched between the Nakuru County Government Mortuary famously known as ''Kwa Jack'' and the Nakuru North Cemetery, in addition to the darkness and loneliness of the road at night, you had better seek an alternative route if you are the easily shaken type, especially at night.

Also lined up with old business stalls which get abandoned after nigh-fall, you are likely to start imagining zombies from both the morgue and cemetery jumping on you from the vibanda for disrupting their eternal rest.

2. Milimani estate

Unlike in ghettos and middle-income estates where people never go to sleep, streets in this posh hood became completely deserted at night making them frightening especially for lone rangers.

The fear gets doubled by the big dogs from the area's tycoons' homesteads which take over the streets as soon as their masters retire to bed after a long day.

3. Manyani estate

Bordered by the Nakuru South cemetery to the east and the Lake Nakuru National Park to the south, plus the many unlighted roads and a few traditional doctors better known as ''waganga'', you will obviously not be comfortable roaming the area alone at night.
