Ndimu house
Everybody born in Nakuru town must have been to this building either personally or during a trip with their parents.The building houses registration offices andbirth certificates are issued here.It is well known to almost everyone in this town.
Cigma
This is the famous joint for almost all the young people in town, at least the eastern side of it.It houses parlors, play stations, tattoo studios and fashion outlets.It is the most popular building among the town's youth and parents too.
C.K Patel building
One of the tallest buildings in the entire county with up to 11 floors.Its also one of the oldest.The building is owned by a physically disabled Indian who also runs a hardware on the first floor.Houses mostly offices and insurance firms.
Gate House
Gate house is located directly opposite Cigma. It houses the town's Equity bank main branch, several law firms and health consultants. Located just at the entrance of the town's Central Business District, it's among the first buildings that welcome visitors to the town.
Zakayo's
Standing in one of Nakuru's most prime estates. Race-course, the house has been in existence for so long to an extant that the entire area has adopted the name.Its owned by Zakayo, a famous businessman who got the nickname from those who know him because of his shortness.
These are some of the best known buildings in the town.The next time you visit ask the inhabitants and you can be sure to get the direction from the very first person you ask provided they have been around for at least two weeks.
