However, at times, these gadgets have proven to be far too expensive to acquire and maintain, but with the introduction of cheaper brands, this is no longer the case.

Below is a list of some of the cheapest android phones you can buy and use in Kenya.

1. Fero 4001

The gadget trades at Sh3, 999 on most online shops and brings with it 8 GB internal memory capacity and 512 MB ram.

It operates on a v6.60 Android system and is dual sim enabled, meaning that you have two channels of communicating with your loved ones.

It, however, has a rather weak camera, with the camera amounting to 2 Mega Pixel (MP) which is, however, beefed up with a flashlight for better photos at night while at the same time aiding you in lighting.

2. Viwa 1.7

Apparently made for people with less demands, the smaller phone brings along a 4 inch screen and operates on a Marshmallow Android system. 

Going for Sh3, 100 on  Jumia, it has an 8 GB internal memory capacity and a battery power of 1500mAh.

It has a weak main camera of 2 MP and a 0.3 MP front camera.  

3. Itel 1408

Itel 1408 is another nice gadget trading at below Sh5, 000.

According to online retailer Jumia, the Sh4, 899 phone comes with a 5 MP main camera and operates on a Lollipop Android 5.1 system.

It has a 4 inch screen and 8 GB internal memory.
