The governor of the county of Garissa Ali Bunow Korane hosted Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa and a number of governors at his residence last week.
He later splashed the photos of the meeting on social media, giving Kenyans a glimpse of the jaw-dropping luxury and comfort that the soft-spoken county boss enjoys.
The photos show glamorous mahogany sofas upholstered in turquoise and gold-coloured material, a wall to wall carpet, something that resembles a clock adorning the wall, a gold-coloured thermos resting on one of the mahogany tables.
Even though the photos give us a limited tour of the governor's residence, it is clear that Korane lives in jaw-dropping opulence that the vast majority of Kenyans can only dream about.
