A new survey by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) has revealed the types of vehicles preferred by Kenyans.

The report has indicated the types of vehicles bought by a majority of Kenyans who bought cars in January and February 2018.

It emerged that many preferred station wagons.

The report outlined that Kenya Revenue Authority(KRA) had registered 8,385 new station wagons in the two months.

Toyota Fielder,Wish, Sienta, Nissan's Wingroad, Subaru Impreza, Honda Fit, and other models were the common models bought during the period.

Vans and pick-ups were second in the rank with 1,741 vehicles registered in the two months.

According to the data from KNBS, a bulk of the new and second-hand vehicles imported toKenya were manufactured in 2011.

In the report, motorcycles emerged as the second most preffered mode of transporation in the country.

In the two months,  32,418 motorcycles were registered.
