Kenyans are known for their love for music.
They are always able to pick the best track from the many releases being made on almost a daily basis, and stick to what they feel is the best.
Here are the songs that are currently performing excellently in the country;
1. Kwangwaru
The nation cannot simply get enough of this poetic piece from Tanzania songstress Abdul Naseeb alias Diamond Platnumz and his musical son Harmonize.
Though released a few months back, it is yet to lose its grip, and has proceeded to dominate almost each and every matatu, bodaboda, and home and is always on repeat.
As a result of Kenyans' love for controversy, majority will just wait for the mischievous line 'Weka mate niteleze kama nyoka pangoni' before restarting the tune.
2. Bum Bum
This is another track that has thrown Kenyan musicians in the dark, going ahead to dominate the airwaves.
Coming from the rich album of Nigerian songstress Yemi Alade who is also known for her 'Johnny' hit, the track has allocated itself a spot in the list of songs currently doing well in the nation.
3. Muhudumu
The rather sad song comes from Tanzania's Dogo Aslay, formely a member of the now defunct Yamoto Band.
In the song, Aslay is poetically appealing to his escapee wife to return home, saying that he is no longer the same and has turned into a drunk as a result of stress.
Though slightly slow, the track has also emerged as one of the top and most requested in our radio and television stations.
