With campaigns for the repeat presidential elections already getting to the top gear, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has set raft guidelines to ensure that the polls are conducted in accordance to the constitution.
According to IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati's gazette notice, campaigns will be conducted strictly between 7am and 6pm.
Chebukati's notice also said that the campaigns must end on October 15, about 48 hours before the elections are held.
It further noted that the registration of voters and revision of election registers will remain suspended and that no new voters will be registered until November 8.
Chebukati also pointed out that all participating political parties and their candidates shall appoint and submit to IEBC names of their elections agents at the national, county and constituency levels before October 2.
"The polling station and the tallying centre shall remain as published by the commission on June 30," he added.
