The ruling Jubilee Party has sacked about 200 of its staff in what it says are restructuring efforts designed to strengthen the party.Those who have been axed by the party include members of the secretariat, county coordinators, and senior directors.The radical move, according to members of Jubilee Party's inner sanctum, the move has been executed with 2022 presidential politics in mind.This comes as the party waits to receive funds from the Political Parties Funds kitty.

A new team that will steer Jubilee to 2022 will be constituted and start working on the party's succession plan which stipulates that DP Ruto will be its standard-bearer.
