Uasin Gishu County has 450,050 registered voters and 868 polling stations, according to the IEBC.The County largely supports re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta, given that it is the home to his deputy, William Ruto. As general elections are conducted today (Tuesday), a tight race is expected between governor Jackson Mandago and businessman Bundotich Buzeki. Mandago seeks re-election on a Jubilee Party ticket, while Buzeki is an independent candidate.Other tight races to watch in the county include;1. Caleb Kostany (Jubilee) and Jonathan Bii (KANU) - Soy MP race.4. Oscar Sudi (Jubilee) and John Rono (KANU) - Kapseret MP race.5. Peter Chomba (Jubilee) and Andrew Sure (ODM) - Huruma MCA race.6. Francis Muya (Jubilee) and Charles Okumu (ODM - Langas MCA race.7. Margaret Jepkoech Kamar (Jubilee Party) and Robert Arap Kemei (Independent candidate) - Senate race.8. Gladys Boss Shollei (Jubilee) and Rael Chebichii Lelei (Independent candidate) - Woman Representative race.
