Maseno, Moi, and Great Lakes Universities have been listed among public and private universities offering diploma and degree programmes they have not been accredited to offer.
An Audit report by the Commission for University Education (CUE) said the universities among others have been enrolling students and training them without the approval of the commission or respective university Senates.
Moi University was found to be offering 41 unaccredited courses, Maseno University 11,Technical University of Mombasa 18 with Great Lakes University offering 20 unaccredited courses.
Other universities with unaccredited programmes include University of Eldoret with 12 unaccredited programmes, Murang’a University 45, Machakos University 10 with Strathmore University offering one unaccredited course.
The report also established that Maseno and Kabarak universities were offering unaccredited online degree programmes.
