This follows her recent successful appeal against Governor Alfred Mutua's August 8, 2017 re-election, a ruling that Mutua has however vowed to challenge at the Supreme Court.

Speaking on Radio Citizen on Thursday morning, Ndeti remained confident that the highest court of the land will reiterate the Court of Appeal's Friday ruling.

The former Kathiani lawmaker revealed that she will revive her fading 'Yaliyo Ndwele Sipite' slogan, a mixed up translation of the Swahili saying 'Yaliyopita Si Ndwele' [bygones are bygones] as her campaign slogan in the rerun.

"Our slogan will remain the same because Machakos residents have grown tired of the current regime but must leave that behind and move forward under a new leadership under me," Ndeti said.

Ndeti poked holes into Mutua's leadership, accusing him of concentrating on less important issues rather than the ones that will positively impact on his constituents' lives, further bashing him for seeking political fame.

"He should let the people praise him for what he has done and not praise himself. He has to stop publicizing himself all over the media because he has nothing to be proud about," Ndeti added.
