National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate, Raila Amolo Odinga has reminded Deputy William Ruto that Kenyans does not belong to him and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The opposition leader asked Ruto, one of his fierce critics, to respect the Kenyan people ahead of the fresh general elections. He was speaking during a press conference at the Okoa Kenya headquarters in Lavington, Nairobi.

“I saw Ruto giving threats asking who we think we are, he will know who we are. We are the people’s representatives. He must respect the decision of Kenyans. Kenya is not William Ruto or Uhuru Kenyatta,” said Raila on Monday, as quoted by Tuko.co.ke.

The opposition leader, who is taking a fourth stab at the nation’s top seat, also said that he is ready to go to the elections.  The remarks come after a section of leaders of the alliance hinted at boycotting the election over what they termed as rotten Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC)

“We are not fearing to go to the poll, we got ready yesterday but we cannot go to that election if those who stole our votes are managing the repeat poll,” said Raila.
