Subukia MP Nelson Gaichuhie has said that he wants to become the next Speaker for the Nakuru county assembly.
Gaichuhie lost in the April Jubilee nominations and decided not to vie as an independent candidate.
According to the MP, he will lobby for the Speaker post with the county’s leadership once campaigns and elections are over.
“For the moment, I am busy with the presidential campaigns,” he said..
“I have not begun lobbying for the Speaker’s seat although I strongly believe I have what it takes to serve,” he added.
The Speaker post is usually the first business of the House after the general election.
