As IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati announced the winner of the repeat presidential poll, there were cheers from a crowd after he mentioned the number of votes Uhuru Kenyatta scored in Raila's backyard.
The crowd cheered because Uhuru had 'beaten' Raila in his stronghold.
"Kisumu County, 539, 579 registered voters, Aukot 2 votes, Dida 1 vote, Jirongo nil, Kaluyu nil, Kenyatta 886, Michael Mwaura 0, Nyaka 3, Odinga 7,” said Wafula Chebukati while reading the results.
Raila boycotted the repeat presidential poll after he claimed it was prone to irregulaties and illegalities cited by the Supreme Court on the August 8 poll.
This led to chaos within opposition strongholds making IEBC to postpone elections in four county.
IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati however said he was confident the poll was credible.
He declared Kenyatta the President-elect after garnering up to 7.4m votes.
