Details have emerged over the intense lobbying of high profile jobs in the government days after President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto secured a second term in office.
The most sought jobs are those of cabinet secretaries as it appears Uhuruto will drop a number of 'lazy' CSs in a mid to boot Kenyatta's legacy as he serves his last term.
Daggers have already being drawn among regions as intense lobbying goes on.
In Nakuru, a region that supported the Kibaki and Uhuru regimes in a fanatical way, was never given a slot in the cabinet in Kibakis whole tenure as well as Uhuru's first term in office.
Leaders in the county have been pushing for one of 'their son or daughter' to be given a plum slot in the cabinet.
According to sources, former Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua , who now works at State House as the official secretary to the president, is being menfioned in discussions surrounding naming new cabinet secretaries.
It is not yet clear if the discussions have finally earmarked him for anything.
Trouble to Uhuru and his bossom buddy Ruto is the lean cabinet they are allowed by the constitution visa vis the hundreds of politicians expecting to be rewarded after they fixed deals to campaign for Uhuruto.
