The August 8, polls has attracted the highest number of independent candidates, more than 2000 aspirants have been seeking for clearance from the office of the Registrar of Political.

Amazingly one of the outstanding candidate is a man of cloth 31-year-old Edwin Wambua who wats to run for the presidential seat as an independent candidate.

Wambua who shepherds the Truth Ministry Church in Kitui county says his move to bid for the presidency is a divine calling.

"I believe I have the capability to change this country  through my ministry and I can make people to be clean through my ministry," he said.

In order to fund his campaigns, Wambua says he will take a Sh500,000 loan and also accepts contributions from well wishers.

Despite all this Wambua has an uphill task of convincing IEBC to let him run for the position because he lacks the necessary academic papers to bid for presidency, but the man of God has a plan.

"I have a divine degree from God though I have never stepped into a class. I will go up to the last step until IEBC tells me I don't qualify to be the president of this country," he said.

Wambua is a first born in the family of three but is yet to marry.
