A new hit is out and people are dancing to it.
The lakeside town of Nakuru cannot get enough of the new banger dubbed 'Kwangwaru', a poetic piece by Tanzanian songster Abdul Naseeb, popularly known as Diamond Platnumz in collaboration with his musical son Harmonize.
Accompanied with outstanding vocals and lyrical Swahili prowess, almost every ring tone has been switched to Kwangwaru, with matatus and bodabodas following suit as well, the track being on repeat.
The case is similar in houses, as the youth await the controversial line 'Weka mate niteleze kama nyoka pangoni', after which the track is restarted, the volume at its maximum and the roofs almost flying off.
To those having problems with the twin W's in the Kwangwaru name, making it quite hard to pronounce, have unconsciously renamed 'Kangaroo', but the sweetness remains intact.
Another one from the Wasafi record label under the ownership of Diamond, the track seems to have overtaken most of the 'Nataka Kulewa' hit maker's previous bangers as the most accepted.
However, music being a seasonal stuff, like the others before it, it is expected to soon drop off the charts, but by the look of things, that could take longer that usual.
