In a letter to the Registrar of Political Parties, Murkomen said Kalonzo had copied his identity #TEAMOKM.

He said that the "OKM" is an abbreviation lawfully being held by him and any attempts to register the same will violate section 8 of the political parties Act.

This is after Kalonzo announced that he will hold a delegates meeting to rebrand the party.

"The use of OKM abbreviation by our client is protected by the Trade Marks Act chapter 506 as the name of an individual. OKM is a well-known mark used exclusively by our client in Kenya," read part of the letter.

The letter signed further said Murkomen has been using 'OKM" to brand his political career and campaign.

"Our client has further used OKM for philanthropic support towards education, entertainment, sports and cultural activities. The mark is popularly associated with our client by millions of people due to his prominence in society and as leader of Majority in the senate," it read.
