The National Youth Service (NYS) scam suspect shocked Kenyans with her calm demeanour when she was arrested alongside some of his family members in Naivasha.
Cameras captured Ms Wambere smiling as she ambled towards a car that was to take her to a police station for questioning.
Inside the car, the light-complected lady was also captured smiling, leaving Kenyans in a state of shock as to why she would smile in the face of grave accusations facing her.
Garissa residents also shared in the shock.
Here are some of their reactions:
''She knows that nothing much will happen to her. That is why she was smiling to the camera,'' Abdullahi Kamar said.
''I don't know what to say. Impunity is smiling at us,'' Kuno Saidi.
''Kenyans should be shocked by what we saw during the arrest,'' Mohamed Jasmine said.
''We should be ashamed as a country. People stealing from our coffers yet they are not disturbed,'' Fahmi Abad said.
''That is a sign that nothing is going to happen to her. Nothing happened to previous suspect. She has every reason to smile,'' Galgalo Balo said.
''That is a powerful message that we are doing badly as a country when it comes to fighting corruption and dealing with the culture of impunity,'' Salah Omar said.
Ms Wambere revealed that she had received sh 60 million yet she did not know why.
